Codefetch's mission is to connect programmers and authors so that programmers get the information they need, and the work of authors is supported and encouraged.
Today, Codefetch sells books, but watch for change-- we envision an infrastructure where authors can get their content out more quickly and with less environmental impact than selling books printed on paper.
Codefetch uses and supports open source software, and is an affiliate of the Open Technology Business Center. Codefetch's code excerpts connect users of open source software with great books about those software products-- spurring the continuing development of top-quality documentation for open source software.
Our revenue comes from selling your books. We hope that you are pleased with our efforts, but if you are not, you may request we remove your book from our indices. Please contact author relations at the address below.
Codefetch's indices are updated automatically. If you update the code from a book you wrote, to fix bugs or any other purpose, the changes will be reflected in Codefetch on the next update, usually within a few weeks. You may verify the web address from which Codefetch is indexing your code by clicking the cache link for any result from your book. In unusual circumstances, such as estrangement from your publisher, you may request that Codefetch host an updated version of your code.
If you would like to contribute code from your published book that we couldn't find, or if you would like to authorize us to include code from your book's CD-ROM, we would be happy to oblige. Please contact us at author relations.
